Russ Meyer and Robert Bresson
And by the way, I keep harping on how gorgeous most of these films are, so I wondered, why am I keeping the snapshots so tiny? Why make you click them in order to behold their succulence? Why keep their light under a proverbial bushel. No longer. Go back and see for yourself.

off topic... seriously... I am going to need you to go ahead and detail your extreme dislike of Slumdog Millionaire. I am afraid that I can no longer just look at your D+ grade without needing your justification. Not that I LOVED it mind you... but I do think it was a lot better than a D+. Miss you.
I second the off topic. It kind of annoyed me (B/B-) but it was also sort of fun and had its moments and it was definitely, um, enthusiastic... ok maybe B-/C+
review away!
P.S. thank you thank you thank you for beginning the favorite films again.
Holy cow, your writeup of Pickpocket is so beautiful. Thank you.
@QTA & Nathaniel: I'll try to get on this, but I'm finding it so much more inspiring to praise than to belittle. A seven-word preview: Inane conceit. Waterboarding?! Risible acting. Amateurish. Tasteless.
@Michael: Thank you so, so much. I'm so pleased that this review, in particular, has found a fan.
