I actually only saw this movie about a week ago, and loved it. But the one thing that stays with me is how truly creepy the DVD cover and score is. Utterly terrifying.
Ooo I had to write a paper on Safe. It's one of my favorites. Such an interesting (and interestingly made) film. I will always love Todd Haynes. I'm glad he was born onto this earth to give us great art!
I tend to act way too pleased that I share my birthday with Todd Haynes, but heck, if you're going to share a birthday with anybody, it might as well be one of your favourite auteurs!
@The Trio of Safe Fans: Huzzah!
And @Catherine: Happy birthday! I share with PJ Harvey, as I've probably mentioned. I know all the pleasure of sharing a natal holiday with a living genius.
LOOOVE [safe] and how incredibly ahead of it's time was it? Answer: Very.
